Best practices for AIOps
Anomaly detection
- Utilize Zia-based thresholds to eliminate the overhead of manually setting up thresholds.
- Under Anomaly Description, click Analyze Root Cause to gain deeper insights.
- From the Anomaly Summary Graph, view the various performance attributes for which anomaly detection is enabled by default.
- To receive only confirmed anomalies, toggle the Scoring Method in Anomaly Settings to Yes. All related monitors are checked while running the scoring method.
Forecast
- Integrate forecasting and automation to prevent threshold breaches preemptively, utilizing automation scripts to proactively address potential issues before they occur.
- Predict values for selective attributes over the next 1, 3, and 7 days with the Forecast Report for proactive resource management, capacity planning, and alert setup.
Ask Zia
- Gain insights and identify underlying patterns with Ask Zia. For example, from the Alarms page, you can ask, "Which locations had the highest number of alarms after the last scheduled maintenance?".
- Get suggestions from Ask Zia to handle issues like repetitive alarms or for alarms with predefined RCA.
- Use the "@" prefix to enhance search functionality while you are looking for specific monitors or monitor groups.
- Request a response from Zia in the form of graphs or charts for better visualization of results.
- Use Ask Zia to compare two or more metrics like downtime or outages and uncover the correlation between them.
