Azure Cognitive Services Monitoring Integration

Azure Cognitive Services, powered by AI, help in constructing cognitive solutions. You can create intelligent applications without needing to incorporate any data science in your apps.

With Site24x7's integration, you can now monitor your Cognitive Services, configure thresholds, and receive alerts about critical issues.

Setup and configuration

You can add Azure Cognitive Services while adding a new monitor, or you can add it to an existing Azure monitor. Follow these steps to add the service.

Supported metrics

The following metrics are collected:

Client Errors The total number of calls with a client-side error (HTTP response code 4xx) Total Count
Data In The amount of incoming data Total Bytes
Data Out The amount of outgoing data Total Bytes

Server Errors The total number of calls with a service internal error (HTTP response code 5xx) Total Count
Successful Calls The total number of successful calls Total Count
Total Calls The total number of calls Total Count
Total Errors The total number of calls with an error response (HTTP response code 4xx or 5xx) Total Count

Threshold configuration

Global configuration

  1. Go to the Admin section in the left navigation pane.
  2. Select Configuration Profiles from the left pane and choose the Threshold and Availability (+) tab from the drop-down menu. Click Add Threshold Profile from the top-right corner.
  3. Select Azure Cognitive Services as the monitor type. You can now set the threshold values for all the metrics mentioned above.

Monitor-level configuration

  1. Go to Cloud > Azure and select Azure Cognitive Services from the drop-down menu.
  2. Choose a resource for which you would like to set a threshold, then click the hamburger icon . Select Edit, which will direct you to the Edit Azure Cognitive Services Monitor page.
  3. You can set the threshold values for the metrics by selecting Threshold and Availability. You can also configure IT Automation at the attribute level.
