Hello, Site24x7 community!
Managing monitoring in Kubernetes environments often involves multiple deployment files, platform-specific configurations, manual agent installations, and ongoing maintenance. As clusters grow, keeping infrastructure and application monitoring consistent can become increasingly complex.
To make Kubernetes monitoring easier, we’re excited to introduce the Site24x7 Kubernetes Operator, a centralized solution that automates the deployment and management of both Kubernetes infrastructure monitoring and application performance monitoring (APM) across your cluster. With a single Custom Resource, the Kubernetes Operator automatically provisions the required monitoring components, keeps them updated, and enables full-stack observability without requiring manual YAML management or application image modifications.
What can you do with the Kubernetes Operator?
You can:
- Automate monitoring deployment across your Kubernetes cluster using a single Custom Resource.
- Enable infrastructure monitoring, APM, or full-stack observability based on your requirements.
- Automatically instrument applications using webhook-based agent injection without rebuilding container images or deployment YAMLs.
- Manage monitoring configurations centrally and apply updates without redeploying monitoring components.
- Scale monitoring efficiently with built-in support for large Kubernetes environments.
- Deploy the Kubernetes Operator seamlessly across Kubernetes platforms, including Kubernetes, OpenShift, Google Kubernetes Engine, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service, and Azure Kubernetes Service.
Why should you use the Kubernetes Operator?
Traditionally, enabling Kubernetes observability requires deploying multiple monitoring components, configuring platform-specific settings, and manually managing agent updates. The Kubernetes Operator removes this complexity by continuously reconciling your monitoring configuration and automatically provisioning the required resources.
Whether you’re monitoring cluster health, collecting Kubernetes metrics, or tracking application performance across microservices, the Kubernetes Operator helps you get started faster while reducing operational overhead.
How it works
The Kubernetes Operator acts as a life cycle manager for Site24x7 monitoring resources within your cluster. Once deployed, it continuously watches a single Custom Resource that defines your monitoring preferences. Based on the selected configuration, it automatically deploys and manages infrastructure monitoring components, APM instrumentation resources, and supporting services.
As your monitoring requirements evolve, simply update the Custom Resource, and the Kubernetes Operator will automatically apply the necessary changes, without requiring manual upgrades or individual Site24x7 monitoring resources.
Get started
Deploy the Site24x7 Kubernetes Operator, configure your monitoring preferences, and start monitoring your Kubernetes infrastructure and applications in minutes. For more details, please refer to our help documentation.
