ManageEngine Site24x7 product roadmap for 2025

2024 was a year where AI changed the way we do business not only for us but for everyone in the world. Adapting to AI's presence and innovating with it through agentic capabilities is helping us stay relevant to this new normal. Observability is predominantly numerical analysis, which means not every analysis or summary can be included with GenAI. We have strengthened our ML capabilities with anomaly detection and causal analysis.

In 2025, our focus will be on unifying ManageEngine Site24x7's observability data with the rest of the enterprise IT management (both in ManageEngine and with external platforms) to augment AI-driven insights. All features will be developed towards achieving this goal in mind.

Platform

In 2024, we concentrated on contextually integrating performance metrics across the layers in the IT stack. Through application discovery and dependency maps, we are able to group all related resources for correlation and contextual data visualizations in applications. This enabled us to strengthen our CMDB integrations, which help site reliability engineers (SREs) to reduce the mean time to detect (MTTD) in incident management.

This year, our focus will be towards integrating our solution with enterprise IT management ecosystems to ensure seamless and secure workflow automations, access management, continuous deployment, and more.

Observability-focused default dashboards and widget customization for visual onboarding, custom reports to slice and dice performance and inventory data together, simpler querying capabilities across the product for easy filtering, and custom user roles to enable granular permissions across the product are some of the platform features that will roll out this year.

Our mobile app will get a new look and a host of feature enhancements with it, like chart support for all monitor types within the app itself, perfect for troubleshooting on the go.

Infrastructure

Last year, we released Oracle Cloud monitoring with support for its primary services; this year, our cloud monitoring capabilities will focus on network insights across the cloud, integrating native application insights like Cloudwatch and Azure Application Insights. Muli-cluster view, control plane - scheduler, etcd, K8 components like codedns and kubelet are some the enhancements expected in K8 monitoring.

For database monitoring, we plan to strengthen database insights for cloud databases like Azure SQL and Oracle Databases.

Our one agent (a single agent for both infrastructure, application performance monitoring and logs) is on the verge of general availability. The agent will ensure simplified deployment and reduce operational complexity while providing comprehensive data collection and contextual insights. To ensure agents are upgraded in a staged manner, we plan to bring in agent upgrade profiles to ensure canary-type upgrades happen in servers, minimizing potential impact during failures.

AppLogs

The upcoming features for log management include TCP/UDP log support, log tagging, and the Log Field Explorer. Other highlights include query language auto-complete for group-by fields as well as anomaly detection for spikes and new patterns. Additional enhancements include mid-server support for the log agent and custom fields via a field remapper or custom parser. We believe these log features will help DevOps teams and SREs identify why a problem happened and augment the when and the where.

Network observability

The increased adoption of network observability has given us confidence that organizations are not hesitant to move to the cloud for network troubleshooting, especially in SD-WANs. This year, we will continue to focus on bringing in support for newer SD-WANs.

In addition to this, we will focus on the unified conversation view in Netflow Analyzer as well as unknown application classification and support for new SDN vendors. We plan to bring in enhancements to WLC monitoring and include Firewall Analyzer as part of our network observability approach.

APM  Insight

This year, organizations will be able to gain business insights with business transaction monitoring, which captures the business flow and improves enterprise application observability using extended Berkeley Packet Filter (eBPF). Along with this, users will be able to visualize and troubleshoot with application-specific dashboards and reports.

We will introduce all traces in APM Insight, enabling SREs to troubleshoot without any loss of trace due to sampling. Generating events in applications, like application restarts, long garbage collection time, database failure, and increases or decreases in call rate, are some of the key enhancements expected to be released in conjunction with event correlation.

Digital experience monitoring

This year, general availability for user session replay will ensure teams can identify usability issues and diagnose errors affecting real user interactions, ultimately driving customer satisfaction and business success. We plan to integrate with APM Insight's traces and logs for better troubleshooting, and implement event generation from the end-user perspective and customer journey mapping.

Along with this, we plan to release DNS domain monitoring, which ensures domain availability. It enhances security by identifying unauthorized changes or potential attacks, ensuring proper routing.

On a final note, on the compliance front, we will obtain the CSA STAR Level 2 certification, which demonstrates our robust cloud security practices and regulatory compliance, solidifying our position as a trusted cloud vendor.

2024 saw customers transitioning from monitoring to observability. This validates our efforts in our full-stack observability strategy. Big investments in the AI wave from Zoho Corp., our parent company, will help us innovate and leap forward in this new AI-first journey. Exciting times are ahead!

From all of us at ManageEngine Site24x7 team and Zoho Corp., we wish you all a happy and  energetic 2025.

Best,

The ManageEngine Site24x7 team
