Jira Integration

Would it be possible to further match site24x7 alerts with Jira? Like matching DOWN with a higher priority?

Added to this, tags should be mapped to labels instead of being a part of the text field.

Dear Tom, 

   Thanks for putting forth your request regarding Jira. Just a quick clarification, Which issue type do you use for the integration..? We saw that different customers use different types and since Jira support different statuses and also custom status mapping was difficult. 

However, we will look into it again and map the statuses with Jira's. 

As for tags and labels we will check on the feasibility and support it.

For us it's Fault (a Jira Service Desk issue type).

I assume its a custom issue type that you have created, Tom. We will need to provide a mapping of the priority. 

The other problem is there is also the status of the issue itself. If you have a workflow defined, the same has to be synced. We'll not be able to simply change the status of the issue. 

How do you manage the issues that are created now...? Do you have a workflow in place?

Hi Jasper,

As far as I can see, Fault is a standard issue type in Jira Service Desk. Not sure why workflows are relevant for mapping TROUBLE to P3 and DOWN to P2 for example? Same for putting tags into labels.

Right now we are using OpsGenie but are testing a direct integration now between s24x7 and jsd.

What I meant was mapping isn't the problem. However, some customers use status in Jira we may not be able to support that since its based on the workflow. Adding tags to labels isn't a problem either. We can support that.  

PS: in the account I have Fault isn't an issue type. Hence my comment.
