Device Template for Aruba instant-on 1930 switch

Dear all,

I think this is my first post here even though I wanted to get involved for a long time now.

Anyway, I´m struggling once again with a device that currently hasn´t a device template present in S24x7. It´s an Aruba instans on 1930 switch (SKU: JL686A)

Now, I do have the MIB files but in the MIB directory on my disk there are 121 files. So, when creating a custom device template and want to upload the MIB file, how can I figure out which is the right one? As of now, I haven´t discovered a scheme or something that might lead me to the right file.

Thank you in advance

Andy

Hi Andreas,

To help you, we have created a global template named HP Aruba 1930. You can import and edit the device template to add more metrics of his choice using Custom Performance counters.

HP Aruba 1930 template

You can use Site24x7's built-in MIB Browser to add and also test a performance counter before adding it to the device template. You can either upload the MIBs one by one using the Upload MIB option in the Add Custom Performance Counters form or copy them all at once manually to the directory in which the On-Premise Poller is installed:

Site24x7OnpremisePoller/NetworkPlus/mibs folder

As of now, we have around 10,000 generic device templates. We update the list of generic device templates periodically with the latest devices available in the market. We will add HP Aruba 1930 also to our default templates sooner, until which you can use the global template.

However, any device with SNMP enabled, can be monitored in Site24x7 easily by creating a custom device template or importing a Global template created by other users or us.

Please refer to this video for more:

Hope this helps. Please feel free to get back for further clarifications.

Thanks,
Santhi
